Join Melbourne artist Cassandra Lynch for an intimate evening workshop where you'll learn the fundamentals of oil paint, and create your own abstract floral still life painting.
You'll work from real floral still life arrangements, and with different vases and angles, everyone is painting something a little different. You’ll also be painting on 300GSM paper for oil paint. Don't like it? Start again. There is no pressure to create anything perfect.
Here's what you'll actually learn:
Starting with just blue, red, yellow, burnt umber, and white, Cassandra will show you how to mix your own colours so you leave understanding colour in a way that actually sticks. You'll also cover the basics of sketching out a floral composition.
After that, it's yours. Paint loose. Paint messy. Paint three versions. The goal is play, not perfection.
